Description

The Church of San Barnaba, an elegant Baroque construction, was erected from 1660 on the site of an older church by the Minim Friars of St Francis of Paola, constantly supported by the House of Este. The church contains numerous 18th-century altarpieces by Francesco Vellani and a rich interior completely decorated with stucco, gilding and frescoes.
