Description

The convent and church of San Domenico were built in the middle of the Counter-Reformation period by the powerful Cardinal Girolamo Bernieri, of Corrorese origins. Both the façade and the interior of the church are clearly inspired by the Church of the Gesù in Rome. The convent was suppressed in 1783 by Ercole III and converted into a college entrusted to the Scolopi fathers. The building still maintains its educational function, hosting the Rinaldo Corso national boarding school, established after the Unification of Italy.
