Description

The Arceto Castle still shows clearly recognisable traces of the defensive circuit made up of walls and moats; you can see the gate-tower guarding the access to the fortified complex, characterised by its double pedestrian and vehicular access with the bolzoni (protruding-arm winches) that controlled the drawbridges.

The fortress, built to complete the defensive complex, no longer has a military appearance, as a radical building campaign initiated during the 18th century converted the castle architecture into an elegant noble residence. The configuration of the building features a vast and compact building structure extending in an east-west direction, connecting the two rectangular towers.
