The beautiful Baroque church of San Giorgio owes its role as the parish church of Sassuolo to Niccolò II and Alberto V d’Este. Renovated in 1646, it was completely rebuilt in 1755 to a design by Marco Bezzi. The elegant interior houses several noteworthy works of art, most notably the painting by Boulanger on the high altar.
