The large complex of Diamantina visible today owes much to the extensive renovations and reconstructions of the 18th and 19th centuries. As early as the 15th century, however, a tower stood here, to which a palace was added by the Este family, documented starting from the mid-16th century. The estate then passed to other owners and was purchased in 1870 by Senator Silvestro Camerini, who completed the reclamation of the area and rebuilt most of the buildings visible today.
