Description

Located next to the fishpond, this building was designed in 1781 by Gaspare Morselli at the behest of Ercole III, who required a shelter for the horses of the ducal dragoons escorting the court during their summer residence in Sassuolo. The construction work was completed in 1788. Its exterior is characterised by a fascia decorated with illusionist perspectives, created by Ludovico Bosellini and assistants. Today, it houses the Bertozzi and Casoni Museum, dedicated to contemporary ceramics.
