Description

The Scuderie Ducali were built in the 17th century on the initiative of Laura Martinozzi, regent on behalf of her son Francesco II. They were then enlarged and enriched in 1834 by Francesco IV, who also built the adjacent Cavallerizza building in 1819, designed by Giuseppe Soli. The vast complex still houses the horses used by the Military Academy.
