The origins of the San Felice hunting lodge are to be found near the Saliceta forest, an Este hunting reserve since the 15th century. The small villa was built at the behest of Francesco IV and consists of an ornate building decorated with triangular tympanums and two service wings. The interior is soberly decorated in a mid-19th-century bourgeois style.
