Description

The building of the former Zucchi barracks was built at the behest of Francesco IV in 1845 as the Foro Boario, a building used on the upper floor as a warehouse for supplies and the lower one as a cattle market. Soon converted into a barracks, the porticoes on the first floor were filled in and the airy permeability of the original design by Pietro Marchelli was lost.
