Ludovico Ariosto
The 16th-century Villa Mauriziano, owned by the Malaguzzi family until 1863, owes its fame to the presence within its walls of the poet Ludovico Ariosto. The frescoes inside, from the school of Nicolò dell’Abate, were commissioned in the late 16th century by a relative of the poet, Orazio Malaguzzi.
